e-Servicenter Web Interface Overview
e-Commerce is the fastest growing medium for
client, partner and vendor interaction. In other industries,
more than 50% of all transactions are conducted through Web
interfaces. UPS reports that 90% of its customer service transactions
are completed over the Web, resulting in a 60% drop in call
center operations. The cost-savings are tremendous - Web transactions
average 10 cents versus $2.00 for phone calls.
Carriers, agents and third-party logistics providers
are increasingly challenged to provide their customers with
high-level web functionality. In order to stay competitive,
transportation companies need to leverage existing investments
in systems, while providing the e-Commerce window shippers
expect.
Carriers want e-Commerce functionality that
will put them firmly in the top tier of their industry while
achieving the maximum level of client satisfaction. Only a
few global carriers have this functionality. Trans-i’s
e-Servicenter brings this world class, powerful state-of-the-art
technology to all ocean carriers and agents for the first
time.
e-Servicenter provides a web-enabled, customer
e-Commerce interface designed to work with the existing functionality
of your back-office system. Now all parties to a shipping
transaction can share and contribute data with nothing more
than an Internet connection and a browser.
With an ability to run on any system architecture,
e-Servicenter has the power to evolve right along with your
business.

Installation Process
- First, the client chooses a name for the e-Commerce site
and determines the website graphics. Trans-i sells the technology
– it does not brand the product. The user sees only
the carrier’s identity.
- Next, Trans-i conducts a review of the client’s
system architecture and database structure to determine
which features of the e-Servicenter will be supported.
- Trans-i then works with the client
to prepare documentation describing exactly what features
will be offered to their customers across the Web –
keeping in mind the capabilities of the existing system
and the client’s immediate plans for additional functionality.
